This Business Development Manager role offers the opportunity to build relationships, grow sales, and educate customers on a premium pet nutrition brand. You’ll be driving growth within farm shops, garden centres, and independent pet retailers, helping to make high-quality nutrition the natural choice for pet owners.
Location: Remote – Ideally based in or above Manchester to grow a Northern territory (with extensive travel)
Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE + Commission & Bonus Structure

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing & executing a strategic sales plan for your Northern territory.
- Identifying & securing new business in farm shops, garden centres & pet stores.
- Building & managing key account relationships to maximise growth.
- Hitting & exceeding sales targets through strong business development.
- Educating customers on the benefits of premium pet nutrition.
- Attending trade shows & industry events to expand brand awareness.
- Collaborating with marketing & product teams to ensure brand alignment.
- Staying ahead of market trends & competitor activity.
- 2+ years’ experience in territory sales – pet industry, FMCG, or similar.
- A passion for pet health & nutrition – you truly believe in better pet food.
- Exceptional communication & negotiation skills – relationship-building expert.
- A self-starter who thrives on working independently & managing their time.
- Results-driven mindset – hitting & exceeding targets is your thing.
- Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel 4 days per week.
- Up to £40K salary DOE + commission & bonus structure
